To Powell Township Planning Commission

As a taxpayer in the townships of Powell, Michigammi, Champion, I feel we have an obligation to guard and preserve as best we are able, this unique and beautiful area.

We have what other places had and ruined in their haste to raise the tax base, and to improve the area.  But this kind of location is where the people who have done that, turn to next.

When steps have already been taken to preserve a place from the future generations, we can only depend on our elected officials to honor the wisdom of those who went before us, not to look for loop holes to side step those previous efforts.

With more people, there comes more problems.  Let's keep those problems concentrated in the cities where they are easier dealt with.  I believe the majority of the people who live here like it the way it is.
